A dedicated public-service zone was set at the assistive device market, providing one-stop services including policy consultation, eligibility verification, and on-site redemption for Beijing’s consumer goods trade-in program. Visitors purchasing key assistive and elderly-care products on-site, including smart electric wheelchairs, intelligent companion robots, rehabilitation exoskeleton robots, smart nursing beds, and health-monitoring mattress systems, are eligible for a 15 percent special subsidy of the transaction price, applicable once per person per product category, with a maximum subsidy of 1,500 yuan (around $223) per item. This policy lowers the cost to acquire professional aids and smart healthcare equipment for people with disabilities and seniors, while stimulating the assistive and elderly care consumer market and unlocking domestic demand potential in the public well-being sector.
