March 3 marked the 26th National Ear Care Day. A charity concert, jointly organized by the China Disabled Persons' Federation (CDPF) and relevant ministries, was held at the National Center for the Performing Arts in Beijing.
Zhou Changkui, secretary of the Leading Party Members Group and chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of the CDPF, attended the event, along with officials from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the National Health Commission, and the National Radio and Television Administration.
To promote hearing health awareness and education, the CDPF, together with the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the National Health Commission, and the National Radio and Television Administration, launched the 26th National Ear Care Day campaign under the theme "Healthy Hearing, Barrier-Free Communication". The initiative aims to enhance public awareness of hearing health and advance the implementation of the national disability prevention action plan (2021-25).
As a signature event of the promotion campaign for the National Ear Care Day, the charity concert has been held annually for 17 years. The 2025 concert was organized by the China Rehabilitation Research Center for Hearing and Speech Impairment and featured a performance by the China National Symphony Orchestra. Specially invited children with hearing impairments also performed, receiving an enthusiastic response from the audience. Nearly 1,800 attendees from various sectors in Beijing attended the concert.
