The China Disabled Persons' Federation (CDPF) held a training session for officials involved in rehabilitation services work for persons with disabilities from Jan 21 to 22.
The session also reviewed the rehabilitation work of the last year and charted work for 2025.
Hu Xiangyang, member of the Leading Party Members Group and vice-chairperson of the Board of Executive Directors of the CDPF, addressed the session.
Hu recognized progress in rehabilitation work in 2024, analyzed existing challenges, and clarified requirements for the work of 2025.
He emphasized the need to strengthen rehabilitation services, improve the rehabilitation service and security systems, and to enhance disability prevention. He stressed that efforts should be made to accelerate the completion of the tasks of the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-2025), achieve new progress and breakthroughs in service levels, capacity building, and publicity and mobilization, and make preparations for the 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-2030). He also called for enhanced political integrity, professional ability and self-discipline to ensure the development of rehabilitation services and to create a positive and transparent working environment.
The CDPF's Rehabilitation Department outlined the key tasks for rehabilitation services work in 2025 and provided training on relevant policies and practices.
Representatives from various rehabilitation service units, associations and disabled persons’ federations at various levels attended the training. Representatives from Fujian, Shandong, Anhui and Sichuan provincial disabled persons’ federations also spoke at the session.
