Zhang Haidi attends launch ceremony for CMG Beijing Winter Olympics omnimedia campaign
The China Media Group (CMG) 2022 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games omnimedia campaign kicked off on June 6. Zhang Haidi, executive president of the Beijing Organizing Committee for the 2022 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games (BOCOG) made a speech at the launch ceremony.
The ceremony also unveiled the CMG Beijing station. Zhang, who is also chairperson of the China Disabled Persons' Federation (CDPF), extended her congratulations on its establishment, acknowledging CMG's long-term support in promoting the cause of people with disabilities in China. CMG has played a key role in creating a positive atmosphere and encouraging sportsmanship for the Beijing 2022 Paralympic Winter Games, she said.
Zhang said that the hosting of the 2022 Winter Olympics was a decision that bears long-term significance. The CDPF attaches great importance to the games' preparatory work and has facilitated the work in urban barrier-free environment construction, volunteer services, and cultural and international exchanges. By taking the Winter Paralympic Games as an opportunity, the CDPF has stepped up work on rehabilitation, education and employment for the disabled.
On behalf of the CDPF, Cheng Kai, vice-chairman of the CDPF signed a cooperation agreement on the promotional work for the 2022 Paralympic Winter Games with the CMG.The signing of the cooperation agreement will enhance further collaborations between the CDPF and the CMG in promoting the Beijing Games, disability-related issues and social progress, according to Zhang.
