The National Ice Sports Arena for People with Impairments, as she pointed out, fully reflects the great importance and concern of the central leadership for the disability undertaking and the preparations for the Beijing Paralympic Games. She called for Para-athletes to work all out for their best performance at the Games, and to fight with honor and pride for the country.

The preparation for the Games has now entered into a crucial phase which requires the athletes to sprint for the final victory, she said.

She also encouraged the Para-athletes to be not only heroes in the arena, but also masters of life, to motivate more disabled people to join in sports and winter sports and make the society more inclusive. She instructed to provide more targeted and comprehensive services in respects of equipment provision, exercise recovery, medical services, venue maintenance and nutrition.

The Para-athletes all pledged to cherish the care and the excellent training environment provided to them, and to honor the opportunity to give their best for the country.
